FIG Restaurant is thrilled to announce a special collaboration menu with Dr. Alexandra Lourdes, a trailblazing entrepreneur and co-founder of the renowned Café Lola and Saint Honoré Donuts. In celebration of Latin Heritage Month, this unique menu will spotlight the vibrant flavors and traditions of Latin cuisine with a modern twist. Highlights include Dr. Alexandra's one of a kind gluten-free and dairy-free Churros, a delightful creation that combines authenticity with inclusivity. 

For a limited time, $1 from each dish on this menu will be donated to the Santa Monica Education Foundation, supporting their mission to enrich the educational experiences of students in Santa Monica public schools. Join us at FIG for this culinary celebration and make a difference in our community while enjoying a meal that honors the rich tapestry of Latin Heritage!

Signature Pink Chopped Salad

This vibrant dish features crisp butter lettuce, sweet apples, earthy beets, cool cucumber, crunchy pepitas, zesty red onion, and creamy avocado. All brought together with a zesty vegan cilantro dill dressing, this salad is a refreshing celebration of the season’s finest ingredients. Perfectly light yet satisfying!

Chicken & Avocado Pizza

The very first sope inspired Chicken Tinga pizza! This dish features tender chicken tinga, one whole creamy avocado, melty mozzarella, red onion, and spicy jalapeño, all drizzled with cilantro dill dressing and a hint of garlic-infused olive oil. Enjoy it gluten-free upon request! 

Crème Brûlée Churros

The showstopper! These house-made churros are fried to perfection in avocado oil, then paired with a caramelized vanilla bean cream and served with rich, hot chocolate. Completely gluten-free and dairy-free, this dessert is the perfect sweet finale to your meal.

Alexandra Lourdes, Ph.D. is a renowned entrepreneur and co-founder of Refined Restaurant Group, celebrated for its innovative and modern restaurant concepts. Her acclaimed brands include Café Lola, Saint Honoré Doughnuts & Beignets, Pizza Anonymous & 3 Little Chicks.

Prior to her entrepreneurial ventures, Alexandra served as the Academic Integration Coordinator at UNLV, earning her Ph.D. by the age of 30. Her dissertation focused on increasing the success rate of underrepresented students in education. With over nine years of experience in development, community relations, student retention, program development, marketing, and sponsorships, Alexandra's passion for making an impact is clear. Recently, Alexandra was honored in The New Latina: 100 Millennials Shaping Our World, a book highlighting successful Latinas across various industries. In addition to her professional accolades, she has gained over 5 million followers across social media platforms and has become a beloved influencer, known for spreading joy, sharing motivation, and bringing authenticity to her online presence. 

As a self-proclaimed foodie, she enjoys life as a wife and mother to her daughters, Sophie and Mila, often sharing motherhood tips and travel adventures with her family around the world. Her achievements have earned her features in prestigious publications like Vegas Magazine, Vegas Rated, and recognition as one of the five most empowered women in Luxury Magazine. She ’ s also been commended by Mayor Goodman and received the 40 Under 40 Award.

About FIG Executive Chef Damon Gordon

With 25 years of culinary expertise under his belt, Executive Chef Damon Gordon brings decades of experience to create innovative and delicious seasonal delicacies at our farm-to-table restaurant. Born in Ipswich England, Gordon discovered his passion for cooking & texture at a young age, a gift he inherited from his mother growing up where he often cooked alongside her. He then went on to pursue a career in cooking, earning a degree in Culinary Arts from Suffolk College before he trained under culinary powerhouses such as the Roux Brothers & Marco Pierre White, Claude Troisgros, and Alain Ducasse.

At FIG Restaurant, Gordon’s philosophy is centered around providing all guests with an unforgettable dining experience through the use of local and seasonal produce from the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market, whilst respecting each element to elevate new flavors on the plate and on the palate.
